Aubrey O’Day got vulnerable as she explained why she heavily edits her pictures on social media during Tuesday’s episode of the Tamron Hall Show.

Three months after addressing a viral TikTok video that claimed she Photoshops herself into various international destinations on her Instagram, the 38-year-old singer addressed whether her vacation pictures were real.

‘I look at my Instagram as I’m an artist. I look at my life and pictures as like art that I want to create for the world,’ the Danity Kane told the host of the alum.

She continued: You don’t see me on there with my regular friends, my dogs and my home. I don’t belong to the people. I don’t belong to others. My personal life is mine.’

‘And that’s the only way that I haven’t gone off the deep end or turned into something that I’m not,’ she insisted.

O’Day confirmed that she has ‘been to all theses places’ that she posts, but explains in real life that she would never ‘scale a mountain for about two hours’ wearing a ‘caboodle of makeup’ and wigs.

Additionally, she made it clear that every Instagram profile does not reflect her entire reality.

‘Bali, just to be completely honest, was about getting off of prescription medications that were given to me at 17 years old because this industry promoted me to be my most aspirational self,’ she revealed. ‘I was taking about, if I’m going to be completely honest, 16 pills a day,’ she revealed.

In August, TikTok user, @residualdata, accused O’Day of going on ‘vacation around Bali by just Photoshopping herself into pictures.’

The TikToker, who goes by the name Sophie, then demonstrates how easy it is to take a stock photo from a website and then put a shot of a person in front it.

‘I don’t even know if she went to Indonesia, like, at all,’ she exclaims.

Sophie asserted that Aubrey ‘either just steals content from other content creators or Photoshops herself into random promotional images, with these very inspirational Instagram captions accompanying the photos.’

The San Francisco native came to fame in 2004 when she emerged as the star of MTV’s Making The Band 3.
