We’ve got the latest Japanese charts, courtesy of Gematsu, and it’s a corker of a week for the newly released Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak DLC! The pack containing the main game and the expansion has comfortably taken the top spot in the charts with an almighty 104,315 units sold, beating out Nintendo Switch Sports by more than 80,000 units.

Elsewhere, Gran Turismo 7 has rejoined the top ten, marking the only blip in an otherwise Switch-centric offering. Mario Strikers: Battle League is still clining on in last place, though with the release of KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series this week, the soccer title will likely drop further for next week’s charts.

Here’s a look at this week’s charts in full:

one. [NSW] Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak Set – 104,315/ NEW
2. [NSW] Nintendo Switch Sports – 20,169 / 532,470

10. [NSW] Mario Strikers: Battle League – 5,953 / 58,816

Onto the hardware sales for this week, and goodness, the PlayStation 5 has seen a pretty healthy boost, selling a respectable 20,028 units and knocking the humble Switch Lite down to fourth place. The Switch OLED model has also nearly doubled its sales from the previous week, no doubt in conjunction with the monumental release of the Monster Hunter Sunbreak DLC. Good going all ’round, then!
