Josh Allen added to his hurdling highlight reel on Sunday when he leapt over Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid on the Buffalo Bills’ game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.

If you take a closer look on the play, Allen landed on his back side and slide across the grass. He went on the “Kyle Brandt’s Basement” podcast on Tuesday and indicated that he had a battle wound from the landing of the hurdle.

“I jumped over him (and) I got a huge bruise on my butt,” Allen said with a smile. “I landed right on my butt and slid for a little bit.”

When he landed, Allen said he remembered making direct eye contact with a camera man after the slide. He did n’t even make a face to display the pain from the landing that left a bruise on his rear end.

“There’s a camera angle, I don’t know if anybody’s got it yet,” Allen said. “But I made just straight eye contact with this camera angle. I kind of want to see my own face because I think I didn’t make any emotion at all. I just literally got up and just went back to the huddle. Just kind being locked into the moment there.”

Since the podcast dropped, the official NFL account on Twitter found the camera angle and tweeted the emotionless photo of Allen and the video of the play from that camera angle. (You can watch it below).

Brandt asked Allen what it’s like jumping over another NFL player and he said it feels like when Ricky Bobby’s race car got flipped into the air in Talladega Nights.

“Yep, I’m flying through the air – this is not good,” said Will Ferrel’s character in the movie.

Allen said he doesn’t plan to jump over the player usually before he does it and that it tends to just happen once a season.

Two plays later, Allen found Bills tight end Dawson Knox for the game-winning touchdown pass with just over a minute left in the game.
