{"id":102454,"date":"2022-10-20T05:40:02","date_gmt":"2022-10-20T05:40:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/anna-faris-accuses-ghostbusters-director-ivan-reitman-of-inappropriate-behavior-on-set\/"},"modified":"2022-10-20T05:40:02","modified_gmt":"2022-10-20T05:40:02","slug":"anna-faris-accuses-ghostbusters-director-ivan-reitman-of-inappropriate-behavior-on-set","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/anna-faris-accuses-ghostbusters-director-ivan-reitman-of-inappropriate-behavior-on-set\/","title":{"rendered":"Anna Faris accuses &#8216;Ghostbusters&#8217; director Ivan Reitman of inappropriate behavior on set"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<hr class=\"invisible-hr\"\/>\n<aside class=\"article-tools sticky\">\n<div class=\"article-tools-newsletter\">\n<figure class=\"wakeup-logo\"><picture><\/picture><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<div>\n<p>On a new episode of her &#8220;Unqualified&#8221; podcast, Anna Faris detailed the &#8220;reign of terror&#8221; she alleges she faced on the set of &#8220;My Super Ex-Girlfriend&#8221; at the hands of director Ivan Reitman.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Reitman, who directed classic comedies like &#8220;Stripes&#8221; and &#8220;Twins&#8221; as well as the first two &#8220;Ghostbusters&#8221; films, died in February at 75.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Asking if she could &#8220;speak ill of the dead,&#8221; Faris told her guest, &#8220;Girls&#8221; creator and star Lena Dunham, that working with the filmmaker was &#8220;one of my hardest film experiences.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;I mean, the idea of \u200b\u200battempting to make a comedy under this, like, reign of terror &#8212; he was a yeller. He would bring down somebody every day,&#8221; Faris claimed.  &#8220;My first day, it was me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Faris recalled showing up to set late on the first day of shooting the 2006 movie due to a wardrobe mishap and Reitman not taking it well.  &#8220;I felt angry and hurt and humiliated,&#8221; she said of how Reitman treated her in that moment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"gma-embed-img-wrap gma-embed-img-wrap-full\">\n<div class=\"gma-embed-img-inner\"><img class=\"gma-embed-img\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/s.abcnews.com\/images\/GMA\/anna-faris-ivan-reitman-behaviour-innappropriate-split-01-gty-llr-221019_1666200288366_hpMain_16x9_992.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"PHOTO: Anna Faris and Ivan Reitman are pictured in composited file images.\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Getty Images, FILE<\/p>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"embed-media-caption\">Anna Faris and Ivan Reitman are pictured in composited file images.<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The &#8220;Scary Movie&#8221; actress also detailed another incident in which Reitman &#8220;slapped my a&#8211;,&#8221; adding, &#8220;That was a weird moment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In a 2017 episode of her podcast, Faris discussed the same incident, though she did not name the director at the time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>&#8220;I was doing a scene where I was on a ladder and I was supposed to be taking books off a shelf and he slapped my a&#8211; in front of the crew so hard,&#8221; she recalled.  &#8220;And all I could do was giggle.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Faris said she dismissed the incident at the time as &#8220;not that big of a deal&#8221; but said it affected her.  &#8220;But it made me feel small,&#8221; she said.  &#8220;He wouldn&#8217;t have done that to the male lead.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>ABC News has reached out to a representative for Jason Reitman, Ivan Reitman&#8217;s son, for comment on his father&#8217;s behalf, and will update with a response.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On a new episode of her &#8220;Unqualified&#8221; podcast, Anna Faris detailed the &#8220;reign of terror&#8221; she alleges she faced on the set of &#8220;My Super Ex-Girlfriend&#8221; at the hands of director Ivan Reitman.
