{"id":104348,"date":"2022-10-22T02:04:57","date_gmt":"2022-10-22T02:04:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/emily-ratajkowski-defends-controversial-dress-dubbed-too-sexy\/"},"modified":"2022-10-22T02:04:57","modified_gmt":"2022-10-22T02:04:57","slug":"emily-ratajkowski-defends-controversial-dress-dubbed-too-sexy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/emily-ratajkowski-defends-controversial-dress-dubbed-too-sexy\/","title":{"rendered":"Emily Ratajkowski defends &#8216;controversial&#8217; dress dubbed &#8216;too sexy&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Emily Ratajkowski&#8217;s not afraid to take the plunge.<\/p>\n<p>In a new Harper&#8217;s Bazaar video, the model and \u201cMy Body\u201d author looked back at what she called \u201cprobably the most controversial dress [she\u2019s] ever worn\u201d \u2014 a deeply plunging cutout number by Julien Macdonald, which she chose for the 2016 Harper&#8217;s Bazaar Icons Party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had no idea what a scene this would cause,\u201d Ratajkowski, 31, recalled of the revealing gown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomebody called it &#8216;extremely vulgar&#8217; and it became this huge controversy on the internet.  And some of my agents were mad at me because they thought it was too sexy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the time, the \u201cBlurred Lines\u201d beauty didn&#8217;t understand what all the fuss was about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was in my 20s and just, like, hadn&#8217;t registered that it was so sexy, because there is a panel in the middle, but it looks like there isn&#8217;t,\u201d Ratajkowski continued.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container\" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Emily Ratajkowski On The Dress That Caused Controversy | Fashion Flashback | Harper&#039;s BAZAAR\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/p3KOjS3diRU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAnd then I basically called the person who said it was a vulgar dress &#8216;sexist,&#8217; and there was drama.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--If the slideshow is embedded in another post type add the inline wrapper --><\/p>\n<p>Despite the blowback, Ratajkowski still stands by the sexy style choice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI still like that dress.  I still think I look great,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was basically called out for wanting attention, which I think is interesting, because you go to red carpets for attention, basically.  Essentially, it&#8217;s part of your job as a celebrity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--If the slideshow is embedded in another post type add the inline wrapper --><\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the clip, Ratajkowski looked back at the Cher-inspired cutout dress she wore to the 2019 Met Gala, the sheer black lace jumpsuit she chose for the 2017 Cannes Film Festival (for which she was fitted on a boat while seasick) and the vintage John Galliano newspaper-print dress first made famous by Carrie Bradshaw.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cGone Girl\u201d actress even discussed the see-through Coperni dress she wore to walk her dog this summer, which she picked because \u201cit was very hot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLadies, wear whatever the hell you want,\u201d she quipped.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>    .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emily Ratajkowski&#8217;s not afraid to take the plunge.
