{"id":105203,"date":"2022-10-23T01:13:29","date_gmt":"2022-10-23T01:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/kanye-west-claims-quentin-tarantino-stole-django-idea-from-him\/"},"modified":"2022-10-23T01:13:29","modified_gmt":"2022-10-23T01:13:29","slug":"kanye-west-claims-quentin-tarantino-stole-django-idea-from-him","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/kanye-west-claims-quentin-tarantino-stole-django-idea-from-him\/","title":{"rendered":"Kanye West claims Quentin Tarantino stole &#8216;Django&#8217; idea from him"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_95\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p>Kanye West has claimed that he spoke to Quentin Tarantino about his \u201cDjango\u201d concept for his &#8216;Gold Digger&#8217; music video, \u201cand then Tarantino turned it into a movie\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The rapper and entrepreneur in a new interviewer accused the director, along with actor Jamie Foxx, of stealing his idea.<\/p>\n<p>speaking on <em>Piers Morgan Uncensored<\/em>, Ye claimed that he had pitched the \u201cDjango\u201d idea to Tarantino and Foxx as the music video for his 2005 hit &#8216;Gold Digger&#8217;.  In 2012, Tarantino released the revisionist Western <em>Django: Unchained<\/em> about a freed slave (played by Foxx) who works with a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) to rescue his wife from a plantation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTarantino can write a movie about slavery where \u2013 actually him and Jamie [Foxx], they got the idea from me because the idea for &#8216;Django&#8217; I pitched to Jamie Foxx and Quentin Tarantino as the video for &#8216;Gold Digger&#8217;.  And then Tarantino turned it into a film,\u201d West claimed to Morgan.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container\" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Kanye &#039;Ye&#039; West Interview With Piers Morgan\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/L63Jt6__aGw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>Neither Tarantino nor Foxx have responded publicly to Ye&#8217;s claims. <em>NME<\/em> has contacted Tarantino&#8217;s representatives for comment.<\/p>\n<p>While Ye didn&#8217;t expand on his claims, he did make a comparison, when speaking about how free speech exists with context, to the film&#8217;s slave master (played by Leonard DiCaprio) using racial slurs in the film and not being deemed a racist.<\/p>\n<p>This is in light of West making multiple comments that were criticised as anti-Semitic over the past few weeks, which he has continually denied were racist.  In the same interview with Morgan, the rapper offered something of an \u201capology\u201d to those whom he&#8217;d offended with his comments.<\/p>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_2604496\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2604496\" style=\"width: 2000px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2604496\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Quentin Tarantino on the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards 2020.
