franchise.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s gotten to be very homogenized, very consolidated,\u201d Burton said.  \u201cThere&#8217;s less room for different types of things.  I can only deal with one universe, l can&#8217;t deal with a multi-universe.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p>It isn&#8217;t the first time this year that Burton has spoken out about a studio.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p>Burton slammed Warner Bros.  for replacing him as \u201cBatman\u201d director and alleged that the studio deemed his \u201cBatman\u201d movies \u2014 the first two in a four movie series that ended in 1997 \u2014 \u201ctoo dark,\u201d Empire magazine reported in June. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p>\u201cThey went the other way, that&#8217;s the funny thing about it,\u201d Burton said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"primary-cli cli cli-text \">\n<p>\u201cBut then I was like, &#8216;Wait a minute.  Okay.  Hold on a second here.  You complain about me, I&#8217;m too weird, I&#8217;m too dark, and then you put nipples on the costume?
