In true Beast Mode form, Cal football great Marshawn Lynch ran right over ESPN’s seven-second delay on Saturday night during an expletive-laden takedown of Cal fans’ Memorial Stadium attendance during a live TV spot in the middle of the Golden Bears’ 28- 21 loss to visiting Washington.

In Berkeley to be recognized for his election into the Cal Athletics Hall of Fame, Lynch appeared alongside former blue-and-gold backfield mate and fellow Hall of Fame inductee Justin Forsett in a second quarter chat with ESPN sideline reporter Tiffany Blackmon.

Things started off cordial enough with Forsett talking about how honored he was to be inducted.

“It’s real special. It’s a blessing. It’s an honor,” said Forsett, who still holds the third most prolific rushing season in Cal history (1,546 rushing yards in 2007). “Man, I came to school with this guy. He was one of the first people I met on campus, and to go into the Hall of Fame with him, my brother, is awesome.”

Lynch then hilariously foreshadowed where the interview would end up, responding to a Blackmon question about what he remembered about playing with Forsett.

“He never said a cuss word. Until this day I still don’t think I’ve ever heard him say one.”

“Not going to do it now though, right?” Blackmon joked.

“Nah, nah,” Forsett responded.

But only a few seconds later, Lynch broke that promise while calling out the sorry state of Memorial Stadium.
