A recent leak from the US Supreme Court put the issue into sharp focus, after a motion emerged to overturn a landmark case from 1973, which ultimately legalized abortion nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>The email, seen by journalist Jason Schreier but not republished in its entirety online, said that the company is &#8220;multi-faceted and diverse, holding many different points of view&#8221; and that &#8220;we owe it to each other and to PlayStation&#8217;s millions of users to respect differences of opinion among everyone in our internal and external communities &#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The message continues: \u201cRespect does not equal agreement.  But it is fundamental to who we are as a company and as a valued global brand. &#8221;  Bizarrely, according to Bloomberg, Ryan then went on to \u201cshare something light-hearted to help inspire everyone to be mindful of having balance\u201d, including a story about his pet cats&#8217; birthdays and his desire di lui to one day own a dog.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"object object-tweet\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" align=\"center\"><p><span lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Jim Ryan&#8217;s email, seen by Bloomberg News, does not take a stance on Roe v.  Wade or abortion rights but does declare &#8220;that dogs really are man&#8217;s best friend, they know their place, and perform useful functions like biting burglars and chasing balls that you throw for them.&#8221;<\/span>&#8211; Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jasonschreier\/status\/1524834676283740160?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\">May 12, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/aside>\n<p>In his report, Schreier explains that employees at &#8220;several&#8221; of PlayStation&#8217;s internal studios were unhappy with the email, with one suggesting they&#8217;d &#8220;never been so mad about a cat birthday before&#8221;.
