It looks like the report from BoardChannels is not entirely correct. German publication ComputerBase quickly reached out to AMD board partners with a question about whether their custom RDNA3 cards will be ready at launch, turns out some should.

The rumor alleged that custom Radeon RX 7900 cards should launch a week or two after AMD MBA (Made by AMD) reference cards. These MBA cards should be available from all major board partners, so it is not like we would be seeing AMD-branded cards only. However, it wouldn’t also be totally surprising if custom cards were slightly delayed because almost every high-end Radeon launch looks exactly the same.

ComputerBase now confirms that some board partners should be ready with their custom designs. The question was specifically about custom designs, not rebranded MBA cards. Therefore, there is a good chance we will at least see preorders for these cards, even if they are slightly delayed or not delivered in good quantities to retailers.

will #RX7900Series Custom Designs be late? @AMD board partners tell us: As of now, they should be ready on December 13th.
