North Carolina trailed 14-3 late in the second quarter before running back Elijah Green gave UNC its first touchdown of the game with a 9-yard rush. A missed 27-yard field goal by Noah Burnette set the Heels back, but later Drake Maye found a clean running route into the end zone from 14 yards out to tie the game 17-17. Trailing by a touchdown late, UNC answered with zeros on the clock as Maye found Antoine Green in the back of the endzone to take the game into overtime. Burnette missed a 35-yard attempt in the second overtime to seal UNC’s fate.<\/p>\n
