</picture></phoenix-picture>

The Ring of Honor Tag Team titles will be on the line as part of a special Black Friday edition of AEW Rampage that begins at 4 PM Eastern.

FTR will put the titles on the line against Top Flight following a backstage challenge at Wednesday’s Dynamite. Darius and Dante Martin are looking for their first taste of either AEW or ROH gold while FTR is gunning for their seventh successful title defense.

In singles action, Darby Allin will face Anthony Henry of the WorkHorsemen.

Dark Order’s Ten, Alex Reynolds & John Silver will take on Rush, The Butcher and The Blade in a trios match as their recent rivalry continues.

Former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida will be in action against Queen Aminata. Surprisingly, this will be Shida’s first-ever match on the show.

ROH Champion Chris Jericho will air his thoughts following being slapped by Claudio Castagnoli at the conclusion of Wednesday’s Rampage after the champion’s title defense over Tomohiro Ishii.

**********

Taped in Chicago, Illinois, it’s Black Friday Rampage.

Jim Ross, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone were on commentary, along with Ian Riccaboni for the opening match.

FTR defeated Top Flight to retain the ROH World Tag Team Championship (11:08)

Darius Martin and Dax Harwood started out. This match was Top Flight’s first standard tag match since last April. Harwood got a near fall after a legdrop, and tagged in Wheeler for a double-team headbutt. Dante got the tag and shoved Harwood into a gamengiri from his brother, then tripped Harwood into a DDT from his brother in a clever spot.

Wheeler caught Darius with a shoulder block. Harwood got the tag and floored Darius with a forearm. Both men exchanged chops. Darius went for a sunset flip, and Dante flew in with a springboard meteora to help his brother take Wheeler down. Top Flight hit stereo hurricanranas on FTR for another near fall attempt. Darius hit Wheeler with a spinning DDT, and Wheeler dropped to the floor to regroup with his partner as the show went to a split screen break.

After the break, Dante caught both members of FTR with a dropkick off the top. A pair of dropkicks sent FTR to the floor, and Top Flight followed them out with a pair of dives. Back in the ring, Dante caught Dax Harwood with a crossbody for a near fall. Hardwood caught Dante with his slingshot powerbomb, and Dash Wheeler came in with a frog splash for a near fall.

Harwood floored Darius with a short-arm clothesline. FTR went for the Big Rig on Dante, but Darius broke it up and Dante caught Wheeler with a sunset flip into a jackknife cradle for a near fall. Dante hit a spinning DDT on Hawood, and Dante came off the top with a frog splash for a near fall that was broken up by Wheeler. Wheeler hit an uppercut on Darius, which sent Darius flying into the ropes. On the rebound, Darius used the momentum off the ropes to hit a Spanish Fly on Wheeler. Harwood caught Darius with a brainbuster. Harwood tried a brainbuster on Dante, who countered into a small package for a near fall. Dante tried several pinfall attempts on Harwood, but Harwood kept escaping.

Finally, Dante went for the nosedive, but Wheeler avoided it and Harwood caught him in the perfect position for the Big Rig. Wheeler covered Dante for the win.

After the match, the Gunn Club taunted FTR from the entrance ramp.

– A Powerhouse Hobbs vignette aired. It looks like he’s in line for a bigger push.

– Chris Jericho and the Jericho Appreciation Society came out to brag about Jericho’s recent victories. Jericho believed he has no more challengers. Claudio Castagnoli came out to ask for another shot at the Ring of Honor World Championship. Castagnoli believed he lost because he lacked confidence in himself, but he said he feels like he has his confidence back. Jericho rejected because Castagnoli had nothing to offer him. But “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard had an idea: since Castagnoli used to be a pretty good sports entertainer, he could be an asset as a member of the Jericho Appreciation Society. The match is made for Final Battle: Jericho v. Castagnoli for the ROH World title, but if Jericho wins then Castagnoli joins the JAS.

– Renee Paquette sat in the back with a forlorn Toni Storm for an interview. It looked like Storm had two black eyes. When asked what’s next for her, Storm said “I broke my face losing that title, and I’ll break my face getting it back.” Renee is great in these.

Darby Allin (w/ Sting) defeated Anthony Henry (w/ JD Drake) (7:07 aired)

Avid watches of Dark and Dark:Elevation know the Workhorsemen. Excalibur mentioned Allin and Henry have a history together that predates their AEW careers.

Henry dropped to the floor, and Allin went for his high speed plancha but hit JD Drake instead. Henry took Allin down with a back heel trip onto the ring apron, and Henry whipped Allin into the ring barricade.

After a long break, Henry had Allin hanging upside down in the corner, kicking him. He pulled Allin out of the corner into a hangman’s neckbreaker for a near fall. Henry missed a knee drop and Allin caught him with the Code Red for a near fall. The fight went to the floor, and Drake caught Allin with a forearm. Sting clotheslined Drake and whipped him into the barricade.

Back in the ring, Henry superplexed Allin from the top rope. Allin reversed another suplex attempt with the Scorpion Death Drop. Allin then delivered the Coffin Drop off the top rope for the pinfall.

– Lexi Nair interviewed Athena about a suspension she apparently got for hitting Aubrey Edwards last week. Athena apologized, chased Lexi away, and challenged Mercedes Martinez for the ROH Women’s Championship. This was a great promo from Athena.

Hikaru Shida defeated Queen Aminata (1:16)

The Bunny and Penelope Ford came out before the match started to watch from ringside, and this gave Aminata an opportunity to jump Shida from behind. Aminata went for an Air Raid Crash, but Shida countered with a sunset flip for a near fall. Shida hit a forearm and the Falcon Arrow, then hit a spinning knee strike for the pinfall.

– Lexi Nair interviewed FTR, and Harwood chased Nair away. He challenged Bryan Danielson to a match for Dynamite on Wednesday. This match was immediately made official by Excalibur in the Dynamite rundown.

– Other matches for Dynamite will be made official after the holiday.

Rush, The Butcher and The Blade (w/ Jose the Assistant & The Bunny) defeated John Silver, Alex Reynolds & #10 (7:22)

#10 missed the pre-match interview and didn’t come out to the ring with the Dark Order team, making the match 3-on-2. The Dark Order tried to start out fast, but Reynolds got isolated in heel corner in the early goings. Silver got the tag and went for a dive to the floor, but Butcher caught him and whipped him into a forearm from Rush.

During the split-screen break, Silver was worked over by Rush and the Butcher and Blade. Finally, when it looks bleakest for Silver, Evil Uno and -1 (Brodie Lee’s son) finally got #10 (who, if you didn’t know, happens to be -1’s favorite wrestler) to come out to the ring. #10 ran in and after a brief staredown with Rush, #10 tiled Silver with a clothesline. Evil Uno tried to run in but was cut off by the Butcher and the Blade. Rush then hit the Bull’s Horns in the corner on Silver for the pinfall.

After the match, Butcher and Blade sent Evil Uno into the barricade, while in the ring #10 tiled Silver with the discus lariat (Brodie Lee’s signature move). # 10 hit the discus lariat on Evil Uno and tore off his mask. Rush and #10 then threw Reynolds off the apron through a table.

And then in the final act of defiance, #10 took off his mask and threw it at the feet of -1. #10 left as Preston Vance and the new member of Los Ingobernables.

Final Thoughts:

A really good opener and a strong closing angle made for a fun show. Happy Thanksgiving!
