{"id":154113,"date":"2022-12-10T22:00:06","date_gmt":"2022-12-10T22:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/james-gunn-says-superman-might-be-the-biggest-priority-for-dc-studios\/"},"modified":"2022-12-10T22:00:06","modified_gmt":"2022-12-10T22:00:06","slug":"james-gunn-says-superman-might-be-the-biggest-priority-for-dc-studios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/james-gunn-says-superman-might-be-the-biggest-priority-for-dc-studios\/","title":{"rendered":"James Gunn Says SUPERMAN Might Be The &#8220;Biggest Priority&#8221; For DC Studios"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_m_contentLBL\">\n<p>Amid some major reports and rumors about the future of the DCU, DC Studios co-head James Gunn has taken to Twitter to make it clear that Superman will be at the forefront of whatever plans are currently being finalized.<\/p>\n<p>The THR piece suggested that Henry Cavill might already be done as Supes after just recently reprising the role for<em><strong>  Black Man<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;s mid-credits scene, and while Gunn didn&#8217;t mention the <strong><em>Enola Holmes<\/em><\/strong>  star specifically (except to deny a claim that he &#8220;hates&#8221; the actor), he did promise that the Man of Steel is <strong>&#8220;a huge priority, if not the biggest priority&#8221;<\/strong> for this connected DC Universe.<\/p>\n<p>Does this mean Cavill&#8217;s tenure as the iconic hero will continue?  Not necessarily.  Based on what we&#8217;ve heard, the current powers that be were not too happy about Dwayne Johnson &#8220;muscling&#8221; his friend into his movie, and Cavill prematurely making his return &#8220;official&#8221; on social media without a contract probably did n&#8217;t do him any favourites.<\/p>\n<p>Gunn and Peter Safran have to realize how popular Cavill is with fans, so rather than recast the role, there&#8217;s a chance they will attempt to work something out.<\/p>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\" xml:lang=\"en\">Yes of course.
