Aaron Taylor-Johnson has reportedly shot footage in character as James Bond, amid rumours he’s set to take on the iconic role. <\/p>\n

According to The Sun, the actor, 32, has filmed the memorable ‘gun barrel teaser footage’ seen in the films over the years.<\/p>\n

A source told the publication: ‘Aaron has impressed bosses so much that he has filmed one of the franchise’s famous gun barrel teaser scenes, something all the actors do. That move takes him a step closer to signing a deal.’<\/p>\n

They added: ‘Bosses at the brand were really impressed with his unique blend of acting intensity and his impressive back catalog of action films.’ <\/p>\n

The publication reported last month that Aaron was a hit with producers and particularly impressed producer Barbara Broccoli.<\/p>\n

‘Aaron went for a screen test to be the next Bond in September and producers and Barbara loved him. He is now one of the front-runners,’ a source told the publication at the time. <\/p>\n

It follows reports that Idris Elba walked away from ‘years of talks’ with movie bosses to become the next Bond, paving the way for a new 007.<\/p>\n

Bookmakers William Hill subsequently placed Henry Cavill at the forefront with 5\/2, Reg\u00e9 Jean-Page with odds of 4\/1, followed by Tom Hardy and James Norton both with 6\/1 and Chiwetel Ejiofor at 7\/1.<\/p>\n
