\tThe Critics Choice Awards nominations were announced Wednesday, where The Daniels’ multiverse dramedy \u201cEverything Everywhere All at Once\u201d led the field with an astounding 14 nods, including best picture. Among its massive tally were four acting mentions for Michelle Yeoh in best actress, Ke Huy Quan in supporting actor and Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu in supporting actress. The Daniels received double nodes for writing and directing the A24 box office hit. <\/p>\n

\n

\tSteven Spielberg’s \u201cThe Fabelmans\u201d nabbed 11 nominations, including two supporting actor nods for Paul Dano and Judd Hirsch. Other favorites were Damien Chazelle’s \u201cBabylon,\u201d which picked up 10 nods, and \u201cThe Banshees of Inisherin,\u201d which received nine. <\/p>\n

\tAlongside \u201cEverything Everywhere\u201d in the best picture category are \u201cAvatar: The Way of Water,\u201d \u201cBabylon,\u201d \u201cThe Banshees of Inisherin,\u201d \u201cElvis,\u201d \u201cThe Fabelmans,\u201d \u201cGlass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,\u201d \u201cRRR,\u201d \u201cT\u00e1r,\u201d \u201cTop Gun: Maverick\u201d and \u201cWomen Talking.\u201d Except for Joseph Kosinski for \u201cTop Gun\u201d and Rian Johnson for \u201cGlass Onion,\u201d the nine other feature film directors are among the 10 nominees in the best director category, plus Gina Prince-Bythewood for \u201cThe Woman King.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tOther quirky and refreshing additions among the noms include Paul Mescal’s tender work in \u201cAftersun\u201d in best actor, Danielle Deadwyler bouncing back after a Globes snub for her turn in \u201cTill\u201d and Michael Giacchino’s brilliant score finding love for \u201cThe Batman.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tAs previously announced, Jeff Bridges will receive the Critics Choice Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s ceremony. On the television side, ABC’s \u201cAbbott Elementary\u201d leads the charge with six nodes, including best comedy series, followed by AMC’s \u201cBetter Call Saul\u201d with five. <\/p>\n
