Arkansas lost another key commitment on Sunday afternoon when four-star tight end Jaden Hamm of Eudora (Kan.) reopened his recruitment via Twitter.

Hamm, 6-7, 235, had been committed to the Razorbacks since August 14, 2021, but announced his de-commitment on the final day of an official visit with the Kansas Jayhawks, Arkansas’ opponent in the Liberty Bowl on December 28.

Hamm received a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of the Jayhawks on Sunday morning.

“I want to thank the community, coaching staff, and the University of Arkansas for blessing me with the past year and a half of my life,” Hamm said in a tweet. “I want to recognize coach Pittman for all of his dedication to the program and what he has done for the team. After long thought and consideration will be DE-COMMITTING from the university of Arkansas. I will be committing within the next week.”

In addition to Hamm, the Hogs saw another one of their four-star tight end commitments on another campus this weekend as Shamar Easter of Ashdown (Ark.) took a trip to South Carolina. Former Arkansas tight ends coach Dowell Loggains was named offensive coordinator of the Gamecocks last week.

Arkansas’ 2023 class began the day at No. 16 in the nation but now stands at No. 19 following the de-commitments of Hamm and defensive lineman Stephen Johnson, who announced his decision earlier in the day.
