Keiondre Jones committed to Florida state on Tuesday. The massive offensive line transfer from auburn picked the Seminoles over UCF, west Virginia, Pittand others.

Jones figures to vie for a starting spot at either left guard or right guard as the Seminoles are losing two-year starting left guard and All-ACC performer Dillan Gibbonsand are expecting to lose All-ACC Third Team right guard D’Mitri Emmanuel ( a waiver for a 7th year has been applied for, although receiving one doesn’t sound super likely).

With Jones in the fold, FSU figures to bring some serious size to the trenches. The native of LaGrange, Ga. was listed at 6-foot-4, 340 pounds on Auburn’s official website. He brings a ton of experience with him to Tallahassee, with 2.5 seasons of starting experience at Auburn. He is expected to compete for a starting offensive guard spot at FSU.

Jones’ best season came in 2021 when he started every game of the season and was named PFF College All-SEC 3rd team. He received decent marks in 2020 as well.

The junior did have a setback in 2022, receiving a Pro Football Focus overall grade of 53.0 while becoming more of a rotational piece than a full-time starter as the season progressed.

Still, his time playing at the highest level of college football and his overall track record in the SEC makes Jones an appealing take for FSU. At his best, he’s a powerful player who moves surprisingly well at his size. Getting him to reach his upside, consistently, is going to be the task for offensive line coach/coordinator Alex Atkins.

Jones was a Top 150 recruit nationally in the 2019 recruiting cycle and had a Composite Grade of 0.9385.

He joins a transfer class that includes two other interior offensive lineman — Colorado’s Casey Roddick and UTEP’s Jeremiah Byers — as well as four-star tight ends Jaheim Bell and Kyle Morlockas well as four-star defensive tackle Darrell Jackson.
