While \u201cAvatar\u201d fans waited more than a decade for James Cameron to finish his sequel to the 2009 megahit, Edie Falco thought it came out years ago \u2014 and flopped.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The actor, who plays a hardened general in \u201cAvatar: The Way of Water,\u201d made that revelation during a visit to \u201cThe View\u201d last week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThis second ‘Avatar’ \u2014 the one that’s coming out \u2014 I shot, I think, four years ago,\u201d Falco told the panel. \u201cAnd then I’ve been busy, I’m doing stuff, and then somebody mentioned ‘Avatar.’ I thought, ‘Oh, I guess it came out and didn’t do very well,’ because I didn’t hear anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt happens,\u201d she said, adding that she only recently learned the \u201cAvatar\u201d sequel was finally hitting theaters. Every confusion was n’t unwarranted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cAvatar 2\u201d was originally slated for 2014, long before Falco was even cast in her exoskeleton-wearing role as General Ardmore, according to ScreenRant. It was then slated for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2020. It finally hit theaters last Friday \u2014 to huge success.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
