Norfolk state wide receiver Quan Felton has given his commitment to Virginia Tech. the 6-foot 4-inch wide out will transfer to Virginia Tech with two years of eligibility remaining.

A Virginia product, Felton graduated from Churchland High School in Portsmouth, VA, as a member of the 2019 class. After a redshirt season, Norfolk State did not play a 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, Felton, who was still classified as a freshmanappeared in 11 games for Norfolk State, making six starts. In his first season of collegiate action, Felton recorded 28 receptions for 492-yards and two touchdowns.

He followed that campaign up with a 39-reception season in 2022 for 573-yards and seven touchdowns. Felton averaged 14.7 yards-per-reception during the 2022 season in Norfolk.

As a transfer recruit, Felton did not report scholarship offers or interest from other programs but sources have mentioned that East Carolina, SMU, Miami, UConn, New Mexico, Minnesota, Appalachian State, Oklahoma, and others were interested in Felton as a transfer prospect.

Felton is the second transfer wide receiver to join Virginia Tech’s 2023 class, joining Old Dominion transfer Ali Jenningswho is also a Virginia native (Highland Springs).

The Hokies also hold a transfer commitment from Baylor quarterback Kyron Dronesa former four-star prospect out of Texas.
