247Sports Eval/Overview: McIntyre is currently considered as the nation’s No. 40 athletes and No. 600 overall players. At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, he’s capable of playing linebacker, wide receiver or tight end at the next level. He’d planned to take official visits with Kansas State and Minnesota later this month, but he pulled those trips off the schedule after his experience at Oklahoma. He also held an offer from Nebraska and had been heavily recruited by Wyoming, where his older brother Koa McIntyre signed in the 2022 class as a three-star safety. McIntyre’s high school, Archbishop Bergan, plays football in Nebraska’s C-2 classification. It’s the lowest level of 11-man football in the state, and it’s not often that a C-2 prospect earns a Division I football scholarship—let alone a Power 5 opportunity. The chance to represent Fremont on the biggest stage of college football makes things that much sweeter for McIntyre. — Parker Thune, OUInsider.com

Quotable: “I know a lot of people say it, but it’s the truth—when I got down there and saw that not only the facilities are fantastic and are going to be even better when I get there, but the amazing people that are there , I just got a home feel. It was the place for me. I told my parents that we could shut down my other visits because I knew this was my place. I hung out with Joe Jon Finley and Ted Roofas well as Coach [Jeff] lebby. I talked to Venables, and player-wise, my host was Danny Stutsman. Leg I [still] went to Iowa [on a June 10 official visit], and the people there were fantastic. They were amazing. And I was just like, ‘You know, if there’s something this great and I still feel like OU is the place I want to be, I just know it is.’ So that’s why I made a decision; it just felt like home.”— McIntyre
