Having scored rave reviews for his work in Sam Raimi’s first two webslinging films, Maguire and his filmmaker saw a more mixed reception in Spider-Man 3<\/em>, with Sony pushing Raimi to include Venom in the threequel, resulting in an overstuffed storyline that saw Peter Parker take a walk on the dark side.
