Through two quarters, the Los Angeles Chargers lead the Indianapolis Colts 10-3. Both offenses struggled to start the game, with three interceptions between the two teams in the first quarter.

After exchanging punts, the team exchanged a pair of interceptions. It started with Colts quarterback Nick Foles throwing an interception on a pass intended for Jelani Woods. The Chargers’ Michael Davis picked off the pass and ran it back 30 yards. Just a few plays later, quarterback Justin Herbert was picked off by Rodney Thomas on a pass intended for Keenan Allen.

And not long after that, we got another interception for the Chargers — this time Derwin James picking off Foles on a pass intended for Parris Campbell along the sideline.

The Chargers finally broke the offensive struggle with a second-quarter touchdown from Austin Ekeler. Los Angeles marched 70 yards in 13 plays to end with the one-yard rush to score.

On the Colts’ ensuing drive, James was ejected for his hit against Ashton Dulin during which he led with his helmet on a defenseless receiver. Dulin, who was immediately taken to the medical tent, has been ruled out with a concussion.

Indianapolis took advantage of the penalty yardage by getting on the scoreboard with a 46-yard field goal from Chase McLaughlin. Just before halftime, the Chargers extended their lead with a Cameron Dicker 24-yard field goal.

Foles finished the half going 9-for-16 with 65 yards, two touchdowns and a rating of 26.3. Herbert went 15-for-19 with 145 yards and one interception with a rating of 76.6. The Chargers’ passing game has been a lot more successful so far than their run game, with 129 yards passing and just 33 yards rushing. Their third-down efficiency improved on the last drive to keep them going and marching towards the three points.
