There was a time when bullying was kept under wraps and kids who were subjected to it kept their anguish and despair to themselves.<\/p>\n

Parents would have no idea that their child was suffering until their kids were past the bullying or it was too late.<\/p>\n

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, was one of the kids harassed and bullied during his adolescence.<\/p>\n

Unlike many victims, he had an outlet via his music that allowed him to put out therapeutic lyrics about that experience \u2014 but his outlet would eventually backfire.<\/p>\n

Eminem was sued by his former bully after he named him in a song.<\/h2>\n

In the second verse of his 1999 song, <\/span>Brain Damage, from The Slim Shady LP, Eminem details the heartbreaking events of his childhood. The lyrics alone are enough to make you empathize with him and the abuse he has. all raps:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Way before my baby daughter Hailey<\/em><\/p>\n

I was harassed daily by this fat kid named D’Angelo Bailey<\/em><\/p>\n

An eighth grader who acted obnoxious, ’cause his father boxes<\/em><\/p>\n

So everyday he’d shove me in the lockers”<\/em><\/p>\n
