Update 01\/03\/2022: <\/strong>Marvel Cinematic Universe and Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner is now out of surgery but remains in intensive care following a snow plowing accident.<\/p>\n

As reported by Variety, the star is now confirmed to have suffered from blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries as Renner remains in a critical but stable position.<\/p>\n

“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families,” read a statement from Renner’s spokesperson. “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”<\/p>\n

Original Story 01\/02\/2022: <\/strong>Hawkeye’s Jeremy Renner is in a “critical but stable” condition after he was involved in a snow plowing accident near Reno, Nevada.<\/p>\n

As reported by Variety, Renner’s representative confirmed the news and shared that the MCU actor is in good hands.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can confirm Jeremy in critical but stable condition with injuries after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today,\u201d Renner’s rep said. \u201cHis family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.\u201d<\/p>\n

Officers from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a “traumatic” injury near Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada around 9am PT on Sunday, January 1.<\/p>\n

“Upon arrival, Deputies coordinated with Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for medical transport of Mr. Jeremy Renner via care flight to a local area hospital. Mr. Renner was the only involved party in the incident.\u201d <\/p>\n

No further details were given, but the sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team is “currently looking into the circumstances of the incident.” <\/p>\n

Renner owns a home in Washoe County and has for many years and, according to News 4, the county just had a massive snowstorm on New Year’s Eve and over 31,000 people lost power.<\/p>\n

Renner first made an appearance as Hawkeye in the MCU in 2011’s Thor, and was one of the stars of the first Avengers movie. In 2022, he starred in Disney+’s Hawkeye series alongside Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop.<\/p>\n
