It was reported that the company might not use Exynos chips in its high-end smartphones anymore.  A new rumor we could learn more about the company&#8217;s upcoming high-end processor soon.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/universeice\/status\/1611952695174393857?s=61&amp;t=61GfK98bWCZF4nYbU-b-pg\">According to tipster Ice Universe<\/a>, Samsung MX (mobile division) will reveal more details about its first in-house mobile chipset during the launch of the Galaxy S23 series.  Samsung MX CEO TM Roh could give fans a teaser about the high-end smartphone on February 1, 2023, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event.  The chipset is said to be developed for the Galaxy S25 series that will be launched in early 2025.<\/p>\n<p>While no concrete information about the South Korean firm&#8217;s first high-end chipset&#8217;s specifications has been leaked, it is rumored that the processor will be made using Samsung Foundry&#8217;s second or third-generation 3nm GAA fabrication process.  Samsung MX has reportedly created a team of over a thousand engineers, including a veteran semiconductor specialist from Apple.  If its first chip becomes a success, we could see Exynos chips disappear from Galaxy smartphones and tablets forever.<\/p>\n<p>So what will happen to the team that develops Exynos chipsets for smartphones?  Currently, that team is employed by Samsung&#8217;s System LSI division, and rumors claim that it could limit itself to making semiconductor chips for automobiles and helping other brands like Google co-develop mobile chips.
