Last season he interviewed with the Minnesota Vikings, going as far as to fly to Minnesota on national signing day for an in-person interview with Vikings management.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\"><strong class=\"gnt_ar_b_al\">RAINER SOAP:<\/strong>How the past week disfigured Jim Harbaugh&#8217;s righteous image<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">He was not offered the job and while he returned to Ann Arbor, he did express he had a desire to coach again in the NFL.  Harbaugh was 44-19-1 in four seasons with the 49ers from 2011-14, going to one Super Bowl (which he lost to his brother, John, and the Baltimore Ravens) and three NFC championship games.<\/p>\n<aside aria-label=\"advertisement\" class=\"gnt_m gnt_x gnt_x__lbl gnt_x__al\"\/>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Further muddying the waters of Harbaugh&#8217;s future is an impending investigation at Michigan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">On the same day Harbaugh released the statement about his future expectations last week, reports surfaced that the school received a notice of not from the NCAA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The NCAA has sent UM a draft of, which multiple Level II violations which alleges the program contacted multiple prospects during the extended COVID-19 dead period, held practices with too many coaches on the field and watched practices through an unauthorized video feed.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"gnt_em gnt_em_img gnt_em_img__inset\"><img class=\"gnt_em_img_i\" style=\"height:339px\" data-g-r=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gannett-cdn.com\/presto\/2022\/12\/29\/PDTF\/9aaacef9-1e87-4a3a-ba62-4aba4b66e5ab-MICHFiesta2_122822_kd_2370.jpg?ssl=1\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gannett-cdn.com\/presto\/2022\/12\/29\/PDTF\/9aaacef9-1e87-4a3a-ba62-4aba4b66e5ab-MICHFiesta2_122822_kd_2370.jpg?width=600&amp;height=678&amp;fit=crop&amp;format=pjpg&amp;auto=webp 2x\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh watches drills at the Los Angeles Angels training facility in preparation before the Fiesta Bowl against TCU on Thursday, Dec.  29, 2022, in Tempe, Arizona.\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Harbaugh is on the hook for a Level I violation \u2014 the most serious of offenses \u2014 for misleading investigators, the Free Press has confirmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">\u201cYesterday, we received draft director regarding our football program,\u201d Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel said in a on Friday.  \u201cWe have cooperated and will continue to cooperate with this investigation.  Out of respect to the NCAA&#8217;s enforcement process, we will not offer further comments.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"gnt_em gnt_em_anc\" id=\"gnt_atomsnc\" data-g-r=\"lazy\" data-gl-method=\"loadAnc\" aria-label=\"Newsletter signup form\"\/>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Harbaugh, 74-25 in eight seasons at UM, has enjoyed unprecedented success over the past two years, going 25-3 with two wins over Ohio State, two Big Ten championships and two trips to the College Football Playoff.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">In the past week, five starters \u2014 WR Ronnie Bell, DB DJ Turner, TE Luke Schoonmaker, DE Mike Morris and DT Mazi Smith \u2014 have announced they will enter the upcoming NFL draft, with more possibly to come in Zak Zinter, Trevor Keegan and Cornelius Johnson. I support coach with whatever decision he makes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The Broncos are not the only potential landing spot for Harbaugh, who reportedly spoke with Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper about their opening, though it was not characterized as an interview.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Then, there&#8217;s the Indianapolis Colts, for which he played from 1994-97 and a member of the team&#8217;s ring of honor since 2005. On Tuesday, Colts GM Chris Ballard was asked by reporters specifically if Harbaugh was on the list of calls to make.
