{"id":19172,"date":"2022-07-19T13:51:51","date_gmt":"2022-07-19T13:51:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/steven-spielberg-shot-a-music-video-using-just-an-iphone\/"},"modified":"2022-07-19T13:51:51","modified_gmt":"2022-07-19T13:51:51","slug":"steven-spielberg-shot-a-music-video-using-just-an-iphone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/steven-spielberg-shot-a-music-video-using-just-an-iphone\/","title":{"rendered":"Steven Spielberg Shot a Music Video Using Just An iPhone"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"\">\n<p>Steven Spielberg, arguably the most popular film director of all time, just made a music video using an iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>The 75-year-old filmmaker made his music video debut last Sunday, shooting a three-minute music video for Marcus Mumford &#8211; in just one shot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn Sunday 3rd July in a high school gym in New York, Steven Spielberg directed his first music video, in one shot, on his phone,\u201d Mumford wrote <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/marcusmumford\/status\/1549062263625203712\" target=\"_blank\">on Twitter<\/a>.  \u201c[Actress and Spielberg&#8217;s wife] Kate Capshaw was the almighty dolly flu.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><output class=\"article-video-container\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The video itself was for Mumford&#8217;s new single, Cannibal, and it&#8217;s available to watch right now.  Cannibal is part of Mumford&#8217;s first, self-titled solo album.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve been overwhelmed by the support of the people around me to bring this music to you, and I cannot hope to express all of my gratitude,\u201d he added.  \u201cWhen people get it, it blows my mind.  Kate and Steven just got it, and I cannot thank them enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"object-feedback\"\/>\n<p>The music video was directed by Spielberg, with Capshaw acting as Producer, Art Director and Dolly Grip.  Kristie Macosko Krieger was producer and behind-the-scenes videographer, with Carey Mulligan as costumer and sound.<\/p>\n<p>The video was performed by \u201cSome Chancer Mug\u201d \u2013 Mumford himself if you go by the video&#8217;s parlance.<\/p>\n<p>Considering Spielberg&#8217;s penchant for flashy effects and blockbuster editing, it&#8217;s a rather humble affair \u2013 a one-shot, three-minute long, black and white video of Mumford playing his new track to an empty room.<\/p>\n<p><output class=\"widget-container\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"jsx-862123036 slideshow-preview\">\n<p>The 10 Best Steven Spielberg Movies of All Time<\/p>\n<div class=\"jsx-862123036 images-container\"><button type=\"button\" aria-label=\"Open Slideshow\" class=\"jsx-862123036 hero-image\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"jsx-3600606818 aspect-ratio-container aspect-ratio-16-9\">\n<div class=\"jsx-3600606818 aspect-ratio-child\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/button><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/output><\/p>\n<p>Obviously, it&#8217;s quite a coup for Mumford\u2026 but Spielberg won&#8217;t be stepping away from movies yet.  His next movie, The Fabelmans, is due to be released on November 23, 2022 \u2013 a semiautobiographical film that loosely tells the story of Spielberg&#8217;s own childhood.<\/p>\n<p>The film will star Seth Rogen as Spielberg&#8217;s \u201cfavorite uncle\u201d alongside Michelle Williams and Paul Dano, with fellow filmmaker David Lynch in a currently unknown role.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ryan Leston is an entertainment journalist and film critic for IGN.
