Singer Nolan Neal, who competed on both \u201cAmerica’s Got Talent\u201d and \u201cThe Voice,\u201d has died at age 41, Page Six can confirm.<\/p>\n

The medical examiner’s office in Nashville told us the crooner passed away in Music City on Monday, but a cause of death was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

TMZ was first to report the news of Neal’s death.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department also confirmed to Page Six that cops received a call of a \u201cdeceased person\u201d at approximately 8:17 pm local time July 18, who was later identified as Nolan Neal Seals.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Seals was located in the bedroom of the downstairs apartment by the upstairs roommate,\u201d the public information officer added. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe roommate stated she discovered the victim after receiving a phone call from the victim’s mother who was concerned after not hearing from him.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to police, the unnamed roommate said she last saw Seals alive around 4 or 5 pm Sunday. <\/p>\n

\u201cOn the desk next to the bed was a black guitar pick that appeared to contain a powder residue,\u201d the officer added. \u201cThe victim reportedly struggled with substance abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n

The medical coroner’s office told Page Six it can take a minimum of eight weeks for an official autopsy report to come in.<\/p>\n

The public information officer said narcotics detectives joined other detectives from the police department at the scene and are assisting in the investigation.<\/p>\n

Seals previously opened up about about his history with substance abuse in an interview with a local Nashville NBC news program.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember I got clean in 2010; May 15, went to rehab. Stayed clean,\u201d he told WBIR in July 2020. \u201cI joined the rock band Hinder, they were all about drinking and partying.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seals said his drinking habits were \u201cnot\u201d the band’s fault, because he had made the decision to \u201cdrink like a normal person\u201d on his own.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember trying to be normal and fitting in,\u201d he added. \u201cI remember going to a bar and ordering a drink. I tried to hide it. I remember pretending to be normal. I was just lying to myself telling myself that I could control it.\u201d<\/p>\n
