SILVERSTONE, England — Lewis Hamilton said “old voices” from Formula One such as Nelson Piquet’s are irrelevant to what the sport wants to achieve in the future and should not be given a platform to promote discriminatory opinions.<\/p>\n

Three-time champion Piquet has been banned from the F1 paddock after he used a racial slur to describe Hamilton in a 2021 podcast that gained media attention this week.<\/p>\n
