Mojang is clearly not one of them.<\/p>\nIn a lengthy statement published on Minecraft’s<\/em> site<\/span>the team go into great detail explaining both why they haven’t embraced the technology to date, and why they’ve taken the steps to ban any implementation of anything blockchain-related in Minecraft<\/em>.<\/p>\nWhile including a brief caveat saying , hey, if blockchain can ever prove it’s anything other than a huge grift then maybe we’ll look at it, the bulk of the post attacks the techs for their promotion of \u201cdigital ownership based on scarcity and exclusion , which does not align with Minecraft <\/em>values \u200b\u200bof creative inclusion and playing together\u201d.<\/p>\nIt also lays out why blockchain tech and NFTs have been outlawed throughout the game, saying \u201cTo ensure that Minecraft players have a safe and inclusive experience, blockchain technologies are not permitted to be integrated inside our client and server applications, nor may Minecraft in- game content such as worlds, skins, persona items, or other mods, be utilized by blockchain technology to create a scarce digital asset.\u201d<\/p>\n
