{"id":21180,"date":"2022-07-21T10:59:57","date_gmt":"2022-07-21T10:59:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/godzilla-live-action-apple-series-casts-kurt-russell-wyatt-russell\/"},"modified":"2022-07-21T10:59:57","modified_gmt":"2022-07-21T10:59:57","slug":"godzilla-live-action-apple-series-casts-kurt-russell-wyatt-russell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/godzilla-live-action-apple-series-casts-kurt-russell-wyatt-russell\/","title":{"rendered":"Godzilla Live-Action Apple Series Casts Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell are the latest additions to the cast of Apple and Legendary&#8217;s upcoming live-action series about Godzilla and the Titans.<\/p>\n<p>The father and son duo join previously announced cast members Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Kiersey Clemons, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski in the show based on Legendary&#8217;s growing Monsterverse franchise.<\/p>\n<p>In the show, following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series will explore one family&#8217;s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as monarch<\/p>\n<p>Kurt is a legendary actor known for his roles in films like \u201cEscape from New York\u201d and \u201cEscape from LA,\u201d \u201cThe Thing,\u201d \u201cBig Trouble in Little China,\u201d \u201cBackdraft,\u201d and Marvel&#8217;s \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy Vol .  2.&#8221;  He has also starred in the Quentin Tarantino films \u201cDeath Proof\u201d and \u201cThe Hateful Eight\u201d while he had a minor role in \u201cOnce Upon a Time\u2026in Hollywood.\u201d  He began his career as a child star in multiple television shows and Disney films like \u201cThe Computer Wore Tennis Shoes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He is repped by UTA.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt is known for his starring role in the AMC series \u201cLodge 49\u201d as well as for shows like \u201cThe Good Lord Bird\u201d and \u201cUnder the Banner of Heaven.\u201d  He is also part of the MCU like his father, having starred in the series \u201cThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier.\u201d  He has starred in films such as \u201cEverybody Wants Some,\u201d \u201c22 Jump Street,\u201d and \u201cOverlord.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He is repped by UTA, Narrative, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Black and Matt Fraction co-created the series with both executive producing.  Black will also serve as showrunner.  Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell of Safehouse Pictures will also executive produce along with Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita of Toho Co.  Ltd.  Toho is the owner of the Godzilla character and has licensed the rights to Legendary for the series. <em>variety<\/em> exclusively reported that \u201cWandaVision\u201d director Matt Shakman is attached to direct the first two episodes and executive produce.
