Unlike his Golden State Warriors teammate Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala did not get an entire ESPYs segment to promote his podcast. But Iguodala might have had the bigger flex Wednesday night: his show cost Golden State owner Joe Lacob a cool half-million dollars.

As the Warriors were accepting the award for Best Team, Iguodala snuck a word in. “I just came up here to promote my podcast Point Forward with my man Evan Turner,” Iguodala said. “We just got Joe Lacob fined $500,000, I’m sorry Joe.”

Iguodala was referring to the news Wednesday that the NBA fined Lacob $500K for his comments that the NBA’s luxury tax system was “very unfair” to homegrown teams like the Warriors. (The Warriors paid $170 million in luxury tax penalties last season. NBA teams can go over the salary cap to retain their own free agents but have to pay penalties on every dollar spent past certain thresholds; the tax made last year’s Warriors the most expensive team in NBA history.)
