It’s Marvel’s world, and the rest of Comic-Con is just living in it.<\/span><\/p>\n

As to be expected from the single most anticipated event at Comic-Con, Marvel threw the kitchen sink at thousands of attendees during its loaded Saturday evening panel, revealing more on the future of the MCU with a plan for the ending of Phase 4, the start for Phase 5 \u2014 and even teasing Phase 6. Three years after wowing the Comic-Con crowd about the MCU’s fate after Avengers:<\/em> <\/span>Endgame<\/span><\/i>Marvel Studios delivered again, revealing new trailers and details for<\/span> Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant Man and the Wasp: Quantumania <\/span><\/i>and<\/span> Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3. <\/span><\/i>the new<\/span> Ant Man <\/span><\/i>will kick off Phase 5 and will introduce who is presumably the franchise’s next big bad of the \u201cMultiverse Saga,\u201d Kang the Conqueror. <\/span><\/p>\n

Like in 2019, Marvel Studios vice president Kevin Feige revealed a timeline showing the entirety of the MCU’s future movie and TV lineups: After <\/span>Black Panther <\/span><\/i>ends Phase 4, Phase 5 starts with <\/span>Quantumania <\/span><\/i>and will continue with a wide slate of movies and Disney+ shows including <\/span>Secret Invasion, Loki <\/span><\/i>season 2, and the previously announced blade<\/em> reboot starring Mahershala Ali across 2023, as well as a new Captain America movie in 2024. <\/span><\/p>\n

Phase 6 will start with a reboot of the<\/span> Fantastic 4 <\/span><\/i>in November 2024 <\/span>and will conclude with two new Avengers films: <\/span>The Kang Dynasty <\/span><\/i>and <\/span>Secret War <\/span><\/i>in May and November 2025, respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

But let’s fast-forward to where the panel ended: <\/span>Black Panther. <\/span><\/i>As Marvel President Kevin Feige said at the start of the presentation, we’re already nearing the end of Phase 4, and <\/span>Wakanda Forever <\/span><\/i>will officially conclude the phase when it’s released this November. Following a dazzling African drum and dance display from over a dozen performers, Ryan Coogler took the stage to introduce his cast and prep the crowd for the next movie. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFive years ago, I sat about right there and we premiered the first footage from <\/span>Black Panther. <\/span><\/i>Sitting next to me to my left was our T’challa, the late great Chadwick Boseman,\u201d he said, as fans cheered and applauded in respect. \u201cThe cast \u2014 including Chad \u2014 hadn’t seen [the footage] enough. He grabbed my hand\u2026he had these enormous hands. As the clip went on, he was squeezing my shoulder. By the time I was done I could n’t lift my arm. I felt his hand on me for hours. Listening to those artists playing, I promise I feel his hand on me now.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Those returning to the sequel include Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, and Florence Kasumba. Among the newcomers are Tenoch Huerta, who will play Namor, and Dominique Thorn, playing Riri Williams\/Ironheart. <\/span><\/p>\n
