{"id":24138,"date":"2022-07-24T13:16:40","date_gmt":"2022-07-24T13:16:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/wakanda-forever-trailer-hits-comic-con-the-hollywood-reporter\/"},"modified":"2022-07-24T13:16:40","modified_gmt":"2022-07-24T13:16:40","slug":"wakanda-forever-trailer-hits-comic-con-the-hollywood-reporter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/wakanda-forever-trailer-hits-comic-con-the-hollywood-reporter\/","title":{"rendered":"Wakanda Forever&#8217; Trailer Hits Comic-Con \u2013 The Hollywood Reporter"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Marvel took the Comic-Con crowd back to Wakanda on Saturday, for an emotional look at the upcoming sequel to <em>Black Panther<\/em>The first time the public has gotten a glimpse at the anticipated movie.<\/p>\n<p><em>Black Panther: Wakanda Forever <\/em>is filmmaker Ryan Coogler&#8217;s followup to his 2018 movie that became a cultural touchstone and earned a best picture nomination at the Oscars.  He wrote a sequel for <em>panther <\/em>star Chadwick Boseman, but the actor died in 2020 after privately battling colon cancer.  So, the filmmaker got to work on how to move forward while honoring Boseman&#8217;s legacy.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container\" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Marvel Studios\u2019 Black Panther: Wakanda Forever | Official Teaser\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RlOB3UALvrQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>At Comic-Con Saturday, Coogler reflected on bringing footage from the first <em>panther<\/em> to the convention in 2017 and sitting next to Boseman, who hadn&#8217;t seen the footage yet.  The actor was excited, and grabbed the filmmaker&#8217;s shoulder with his left hand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had these enormous hands.  It was part of the reason he filled out the suite so well.<br \/>He was really, really strong,\u201d said Coogler.  \u201cHe was getting excited as the clip went on.  And he was just squeezing down on my shoulder the entire time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When it was over, Boseman told Coogler the footage was amazing and congratulated him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI couldn&#8217;t even my arm.  And I felt his hand the rest of that day, for the next few hours.  And standing with you all\u2026 I promise you I can feel his hand on me right now, \u201dCoogler continued.  \u201cChad is no longer with us physically, but his passion, his genius, his pride, his culture, and the impact he made on this industry will be felt forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Wakanda Forever<\/em>&#8216;s stars include Lupita Nyong&#8217;o Letitia Wright and Winston Duke, as well as Marvel newcomer Tenoch Huerta as Namor.  It also will introduce Riri Williams, the teenage genius who becomes the hero Ironheart.  Domnique Thorne plays the character, which will also topline her own Disney+ series.<\/p>\n<p>the <em>Black Panther 2<\/em> trailer was one of many reveals this year at Comic-Con.
