‘He was very macho and it was all about him’: Kate Moss admits she didn’t enjoy her famous photoshoot with Mark Wahlberg and felt ‘vulnerable and scared’<\/h2>\n

Kate Moss has admitted she has ‘not very good memories’ of her famous Calvin Klein photoshoot with Mark Wahlberg in 1992.<\/p>\n

The pair posed for a memorable campaign together when she was at the beginning of her modeling career and he was a famous rapper known as Marky Mark. <\/p>\n

Speaking on Desert Island Discs with Lauren Laverne, Kate said Mark made the photoshoot ‘all about him’ and she also felt ‘objectified’ by the crew.<\/p>\n

Asked if she had good memories of the shoot, Kate said: ‘Not very good memories. He was very macho and it was all about him. He had a big entourage. I was this model.<\/p>\n

Lauren asked: ‘You felt objectified?’ to which Kate said: ‘Yeah completely and vulnerable and scared. I think they played on my vulnerability.’<\/p>\n

She added: ‘I was quite young and innocent, Calvin loved that. I really didn’t feel well at all before the shoot, I couldn’t get out of bed and had severe anxiety.’<\/p>\n

It’s not the first time Kate has spoken about her bad experience on the shoot, previously describing Mark as ‘such ad***head’ and ‘wasn’t very nice’ in an interview with Vanity Fair.<\/p>\n

She said: ‘I had a nervous breakdown when I was 17 or 18, when I had to go and work with Marky Mark and Herb Ritts. It didn’t feel like me at all. <\/p>\n

‘I felt really bad about straddling this buff guy. I didn’t like it. I couldn’t get out of bed for two weeks.’<\/p>\n

Mark doesn’t have very fond memories of the photoshoot either and has since admitted his behavior on the set was ‘not very worldly’. <\/p>\n

He told The Guardian: ‘I think I was probably a little rough around the edges. Kind of doing my thing. I wasn’t very\u2026 worldly, let’s say that. <\/p>\n

‘But I’ve seen her and said hello. I think we saw each other at a concert here and there, we said hi and exchanged pleasantries.’<\/p>\n

In another past interview with The Mail on Sunday, Mark also described the photoshoot as his ‘most embarassing moment’.<\/p>\n

He said: ‘The underwear modeling I did for Calvin Klein with Kate Moss was not good in retrospect, but at the time it got me a lot of attention from the ladies!<\/p>\n

‘Explaining that \u2013 along with the rap career \u2013 to my kids is going to be embarrassing when they are old enough to ask.’ <\/p>\n
