The Kentucky Wildcats made a huge statement on Saturday night, as they knocked off No. 10 Tennessee on the road in Knoxville. The Wildcats were led by freshman guard Brandon Boston Jr., who scored a career-high 24 points, and sophomore forward Keion Brooks Jr., who added 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Wildcats used a strong defensive effort to keep the Vols in check and held them to just 41.7% shooting from the field. Kentucky also had a big advantage on the boards, out-rebounding Tennessee 44-31.

The Wildcats led by as many as 14 points in the second half, but the Vols made a late run to cut the lead to just three points with under a minute to play. However, Kentucky was able to hold on and secure the victory.

The win was Kentucky’s second statement win of the season, as they also knocked off No. 1 Louisville earlier in the year. The Wildcats are now 15-5 overall and 8-3 in the SEC, and they are firmly in the NCAA Tournament picture.

The victory also showed that Kentucky can compete with the best teams in the country, as the Wildcats have now beaten two top-10 teams this season. With the win, Kentucky has now won three of its last four games, and they will look to keep the momentum going as they head into the final stretch of the season.
