The team called up pitcher Adonis Medina in a corresponding move. <\/p>\n<p>Smith has been vocal in recent weeks about wanting to play more.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><figcaption>Dom Smith was sent down to Triple-A Syracuse by the Mets.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Robert Sabo<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIf there&#8217;s a team out there that wants me to play and wants to let me play, I would love to play every day,\u201d he told Newsday.  &#8220;That&#8217;s just how I feel about that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old later clarified to The Post that he &#8220;didn&#8217;t come out and say I want to go somewhere else.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"200\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/playlist.megaphone.fm?e=NYPH2588755860&amp;light=true\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for Smith, that&#8217;s where he&#8217;s headed.
