Though Draymond Green and Kevin Durant are at different stages of this postseason – Green’s Golden State Warriors are in the NBA Finals, and Durant’s Nets haven’t played since April 25 – they’re both just as engaged in their respective favorite off-court activities .

For Green, it’s podcasting. He recently appeared on “The Colin Cowherd Podcast” and was asked about Steph Curry’s lack of Finals MVPs and whether that matters. Green said that he thinks Curry could have won one of those awards because he was the main ball handler on those squads, even the ones with Durant. He then made an interesting note about the Warriors’ play style with KD and Curry on the floor.

“If Steph Curry comes down, and he calls for a pick-and-roll every play, nobody is going to say a word, including Kevin Durant, by the way. Nobody’s going to say anything, that’s not who he is, that’s not what he does… Kevin Durant was absolutely incredible in those Finals runs, as you know, you watched it, we all watched it. Kevin Durant was absolutely insane. Steph Curry got double-teamed probably seven times the amount that KD did in a given series, ”Green said.

As for Durant, he’s been online tweeting. When a snippet of Green’s comments was posted on Twitter, a fan tagged him in the tweet and asked if that is, indeed, how things went down. Durant simply replied, “From my view of it, this is 100% false …”

Green namedropping Durant wasn’t totally out of the blue. To add some context, Green was asked earlier in the podcast to talk about Durant leaving Golden State for Brooklyn. The Warriors forward said he thought it was a mistake, specifically because that team wouldn’t let Durant play basketball the way the Dubs did.

But as a result of Durant’s tweet, the topic of his tenure on the Warriors was once again litigated in the most annoying of ways: with some fans calling him ungrateful with his response, and some fans downplaying the talents of Curry and the rest of those Warriors squads to lift up Durant. The one constant was Durant getting into repeated arguments online with random strangers, something he’s very familiar with doing. Green, meanwhile, countered Durant’s counterclaim.
