In fact, Sega originally planned to only manufacture enough Genesis Mini 2 consoles for the Japanese market, before deciding to make the North American version available on Amazon Japan. <\/p>\n<p><output class=\"article-video-container\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Right now, you can preorder the Genesis Mini 2 on Amazon for $103.80, with the order fulfilled by Amazon Japan.  After the listed shipping of $21.99, the grand total comes out to $125.79.  This is far more expensive than the original&#8217;s $79.99 price point.<\/p>\n<section data-transform=\"object-feedback\"\/>\n<p>If you do want to pick one of these mini consoles up, you should probably act sooner rather than later.  With a limited production run and an import system in place, the Genesis Mini 2 will likely be difficult to come by shortly after launch.<\/p>\n<p>The Sega Genesis Mini 2 is launching on October 27, 2022.
