During his pre-Finals press conference, he was asked about his thoughts about him about his current franchise moments after he was drafted.  Curry couldn&#8217;t help but recall that he knew nothing about Golden State, particularly because he was so convinced that New York was going to draft him.<\/p>\n<div id=\"paywall\">\n    <!-- hearst\/article\/content\/embed.tpl --><\/p>\n<section class=\"article--content-embed fullwidth\" data-eid=\"item-96744\">\n                        <!-- amp-exco-0cac96ac-a929-4594-a72a-1d12cb6cc155 --><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<p><!-- e hearst\/article\/content\/embed.tpl --><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAll I knew was the &#8216;We Believe&#8217; team, the Baron Davis dunk and them beating Dallas, that was the top of mind.  I knew about &#8216;Run TMC&#8217;, but didn&#8217;t really understand the history as much. (Or maybe not, as former Knicks coach Mike D&#8217;Antoni said he would have messed it up with the then-fragile Curry.) In 2014, Curry&#8217;s father and agent told the New York Times that he initially wanted to play for the Knicks.  It has seemingly come up almost every year since &#8211; most recently when Curry broke the all-time three-pointers record this season in Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- Missed: ad --><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Some might question why the Knicks came up at all during this conversation, but this is what success gets you: the ability to talk about whatever you want since you&#8217;re at the top of the mountain.
