{"id":33290,"date":"2022-06-02T07:55:39","date_gmt":"2022-06-02T07:55:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/sean-mcvay-things-trending-in-right-direction-with-aaron-donald\/"},"modified":"2022-06-02T07:55:39","modified_gmt":"2022-06-02T07:55:39","slug":"sean-mcvay-things-trending-in-right-direction-with-aaron-donald","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/sean-mcvay-things-trending-in-right-direction-with-aaron-donald\/","title":{"rendered":"Sean McVay: Things trending in right direction with Aaron Donald"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"post-2929047\">&#13;<br \/>\n\t<!-- .entry-header -->&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div class=\"index-post-thumbnail with-featured-embed\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Getty Images<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Speculation about Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald&#8217;s future with the Rams began just before the Super Bowl with word that he was considering retirement and it sparked again this week.<\/p>\n<p>Donald said on the <em>I Am Athlete<\/em> podcast that he would be &#8220;at peace&#8221; with walking away after eight NFL seasons and that he has been saying &#8220;since I got into the league that I was going to play eight years and be done.&#8221;  Those comments came amid a conversation about contract negotiations on a new deal with the Rams that would give Donald reason to put off thoughts about retirement in order to chase another Super Bowl ring.<\/p>\n<p>Donald said he thinks that deal will probably get done and head coach Sean McVay offered some more optimism when he spoke to reporters about those contract talks on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThings are trending in the right direction,\u201d McVay said, via multiple reporters.<\/p>\n<p>McVay is getting married this weekend and said that he expects Donald to be at the festivities.
