The Rolling Stones were in fighting form as they kicked off their European tour in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Mick Jagger, 78, Keith Richards, 78, and Ronnie Wood, 75, all took to the stage at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium for the start of their Sixty tour.<\/p>\n

Discussing the band’s six-decade long career, Keith likened the group’s relationship to a marriage when explaining how they’ve lasted so long.<\/p>\n

They’re back! The Rolling Stones were in fighting form as they kicked off their European tour in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He told The Mirror: ‘That’s a hell of a long time. How do you do that? It’s kind of like marriage in a way. ‘ <\/p>\n

The musician added to The Sun: ‘We had our ups and downs, of course. But in the end we always noticed that we are more creative together.<\/p>\n

‘And, of course, across these – my God! – six decades, you have got used to each other.<\/p>\n

‘The special thing about being part of a well-rehearsed group is knowing the others so well that you can predict up to a certain point what is going to happen next. ‘<\/p>\n

The last time The Rolling played in Madrid was at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in 2014 with the tour, 14 on Fire Tour.<\/p>\n

The last time the band stop in Spain was in 2017 to perform in Barcelona.<\/p>\n

The Sixty Tour will conclude at the end of July in Stockholm, Sweden. However, on June 25 and July 3 UK fans will be set to fill out Hyde Park.<\/p>\n

The Sixty Tour show will be the first European tour the Rolling Stones will perform without drummer Charlie Watts, who died in August last year.<\/p>\n

Mick took to Instagram on Wednesday to document his trip around Madrid as he took in some of the cities sights.<\/p>\n

The rocker visited some local monuments, a gallery and a bar and wrote: ‘Enjoying lots of what Madrid has to offer, from fallen angels to Flamenco!’<\/p>\n

In 2021 Ronnie revealed he had secretly battled cancer for the second time during lockdown, admitting he was diagnosed with small cell cancer but had ‘come through with the all-clear.’<\/p>\n

It is the second time Ronnie has beaten cancer, as in 2017 he successfully fought lung cancer after 54 years of smoking 25 to 30 cigarettes a day.<\/p>\n

And after having part of his lung removed he confirmed he was cancer free in 2018.<\/p>\n
