Hilaria Baldwin said that she had to administer son Eduardo a shot with an EpiPen on Wednesday after the child experienced ‘a very bad allergic reaction.’<\/p>\n

The yoga expert, 38, took to Instagram, saying, ‘Never a dull moment for us\u2026 I had to give him an epi pen.’<\/p>\n

Hilaria said that ‘it was a scary experience’ as she ‘never had to administer it on [her] own, ‘but the child’ was in such distress ‘and she believes the shot’ may have saved him today.<\/p>\n

‘He is ok now and home, but I share with you to remind you that this is a lifesaving tool you may be able to keep around the house,’ she said of EpiPens. ‘If your doctor thinks you should keep one at home, make sure you know how to use it in advance, because these reactions can come on so strongly and quickly.’<\/p>\n

Hilaria, who is expecting her seventh child with the Oscar-nominated actor, said she would not ‘bore’ her followers with the details of how she had to rush her son ‘out the door,’ but rather ‘just leave you with our experience , in case it helps. ‘<\/p>\n

Hilaria sent her ‘deep gratitude’ to West End Pediatrics, the Mount Sinai ambulance, and Lenox Hill Hospital Emergency Room.<\/p>\n

Hilaria accompanied the post with a shot of herself at what appeared to be a medical facility as she was holding Eduardo, who had a number of sensor patches on.<\/p>\n

The incident came more than a year after Hilaria took Eduardo in for medical care in May of 2021 after he experienced a previous allergic reaction<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Hilaria later shared a shot of her son sleeping with the caption, ‘Sweet baby’<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

‘Fortunately, when I took this photo, he was back to himself and kicking the phone out of my hand,’ she said. ‘I, on the other hand, was a spent wreck. Love you all and be safe. ‘<\/p>\n

The incident came more than a year after Hilaria took Eduardo in for medical care after he experienced a previous allergic reaction.<\/p>\n

‘I don’t know to what yet, but it was one of those horrible moments a parent dreads,’ Hilaria said in a May 21, 2021 Instagram post. ‘My kids don’t have allergies, so this was a first. Doesn’t matter how many kids you have, there are always moments that shake us, as there is no way we can prepare. ‘<\/p>\n

In the incident, Hilaria said she was ‘grateful to … doctors and nurses and other healthcare professionals’ who helped take care of Edu amid the medical situation.<\/p>\n

‘I won’t mention your names here, but you know who you are, and I hope how much my heart is connected to your care and kindness,’ she wrote. ‘I was told that expediency in this situation is key..don’t wait to see if it gets better. If you find yourself in this situation – just go and reach for help. ‘<\/p>\n

Alec and Hilaria are parents to daughters Carmen, eight, and Mar\u00eda Luc\u00eda, one, and sons Rafael, six, Leonardo, five, Romeo, four, and Eduardo, one; Alec is also father to model Ireland Baldwin, 26, with ex-wife Kim Basinger, 68.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
