Christian Pulisic criticized USMNT supporters by declaring himself “not super happy” with the size of the crowd during Wednesday’s 3-0 friendly win over Morocco.

The match at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati attracted 19,512 fans – the stadium has a capacity of 26,000 – and a large number of those present were supporting Morocco.

The United States won the game after goals from Leeds-bound Brenden Aaronson, Timothy Weah, and Haji Wright.

It was an impressive result for a USMNT side ranked only nine places above their opponents, but Pulisic expressed his dissatisfaction at the final whistle.

“For whatever reason, I’m not super happy with the amount of Americans here, however that works out, if I’m being completely honest,” said the Chelsea forward.

“But thanks to the ones who did come, and the support is always great from them.

“I mean, it was a great win; we’re really happy. We started really well, got that early goal and yeah, just a really strong performance.

“But yeah, it’s nice to be back in America and playing again.”

The USMNT also wore rainbow numbers on their jerseys to show support for LGBTQ Pride Month.

The win against Morocco was the first of four World Cup warm-up matches, and extended the side’s unbeaten home record to 24 matches.

That could come to an end against Uruguay – ranked two places above the United States – whom they play in Kansas City on June 5.

They finish their summer schedule with a game against Granada on June 11 in Austin and a trip to El Salvador on June 15.
