The Diamond Hogs of the University of Arkansas had an impressive showing in their win against Oklahoma State on Tuesday night, and much of the credit goes to their improved situational hitting. The Hogs scored seven runs on nine hits, and they were able to capitalize on their opportunities with runners in scoring position.

The Diamond Hogs have been known for their power hitting in recent years, but they have struggled with situational hitting. They have been prone to leaving runners on base and not being able to get the timely hit when they need it. However, on Tuesday night, the Hogs showed that they can be a complete team. They were able to get the big hits with runners in scoring position, and they were able to take advantage of their opportunities.

The Hogs were led by Casey Martin, who was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. He was able to drive in the go-ahead run in the fourth inning, and he also had an RBI single in the sixth. Martin has been a key contributor for the Hogs this season, and his ability to come through in the clutch was a huge factor in the win.

The Diamond Hogs also got timely hitting from Dominic Fletcher and Heston Kjerstad. Fletcher had a two-run single in the fourth inning that gave the Hogs the lead, and Kjerstad drove in the final run of the game with an RBI single in the seventh.

The improved situational hitting was a big factor in the Hogs’ victory, and it is a sign of good things to come. If the Hogs can continue to capitalize on their opportunities with runners in scoring position, they will be a tough team to beat.
