Shiny Shoe, the San Francisco-based developer responsible for Monster Train, has announced its latest project, Inkbound. The studio’s new game is a colorful strategy \/ tactics RPG \/ roguelike. As you can see from the trailer above, it’s also got some action-RPG DNA in it, probably reminding you at first glance of Torchlight. <\/p>\n

In a world where anything written in ink can become real, Inkbound takes place in The Atheneum, a place that contains every story ever written. Inkbound focuses on cooperative gameplay and procedurally generated adventure, and it’s an online-only game (though it can be played solo). Shiny Shoe promises continuous game updates, none of which will be locked behind a paywall. <\/p>\n
