Buick Wildcat EV Concept

The Wildcat name is not new to the Buick brand, and was previously used on a model offered across a variety of body styles in the 1960s. The Wildcat EV concept is a vastly different vehicle than the predecessor that shared its name, particularly in the fact that it is an EV and at this time, there is no indication that the model is actually set for production.

Buick has a history of introducing boldly designed concept cars that do not actually indicate a future model, but that do influence actual Buick vehicles that follow it, the Avista concept is one such example from the not so distant past.

Buick has previously indicated that their entire lineup will go electric some time around 2030. In alignment with reviving a historic Buick nameplate for the concept car, Buick will also bring back another moniker in relation to actual production vehicles which will carry the Electra nameplate, which Buick used on cars until the early 1990s.
