{"id":34573,"date":"2022-06-03T04:40:01","date_gmt":"2022-06-03T04:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/jason-garrett-candidate-to-replace-drew-brees-at-nbc\/"},"modified":"2022-06-03T04:40:01","modified_gmt":"2022-06-03T04:40:01","slug":"jason-garrett-candidate-to-replace-drew-brees-at-nbc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/harchi90.com\/jason-garrett-candidate-to-replace-drew-brees-at-nbc\/","title":{"rendered":"Jason Garrett candidate to replace Drew Brees at NBC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>NBC may have found its replacement for Drew Brees.<\/p>\n<p>Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is reportedly a top candidate to replace Brees on NBC&#8217;s \u201cFootball Night in America\u201d pregame show and on Notre Dame games this fall, according to The New York Post&#8217;s Andrew Marchand.<\/p>\n<p>Garrett has been working with NBC on its coverage of the USFL this spring, and has been teamed up with Jac Collinsworth.  The two could team up to call Notre Dame games for NBC this fall, per the report.<\/p>\n<p>Brees worked both on NBC&#8217;s \u201cSunday Night Football\u201d pregame show and called Notre Dame games alongside Mike Tirico last year.  Tirico is set to replace Al Michaels in the \u201cSunday Night Football\u201d booth this fall after Michaels made the jump to Amazon Prime Video.<\/p>\n<p>Brees is apparently done with NBC following just one season after a reportedly mutual breakup as the network \u201csoured\u201d on him as a color commentator.  Brees later downplayed that report and said he&#8217;s \u201cundecided\u201d on his future di lui.  According to Marchand, Fox is now considering hiring Brees to be its No. 2 game analyst.<\/p>\n<p>Garrett spent 10 seasons leading the Cowboys from 2010-19, and then spent the last two seasons as the New York Giants&#8217; offensive coordinator.
