Here are the highlights from OTA No. 9:

* Daniel Jones found wide receiver Richie James in the corner of the end zone to complete a two-minute drill situation. Earlier, Jones also found David Sills V in the back of the end zone, but the defense signaled from the sideline that he may have stepped out of bounds first.

* Rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger caught a red-zone touchdown from Jones late in practice. The sixth-round pick from San Diego State was asked last month how much more he can add as a receiver than in college, where he wasn’t required to do as much.

“A lot,” said Bellinger, who didn’t have a drop last season. “I think I have a lot to show and of course a lot to improve on. So that’s another thing is I want to come out and show that I can be a receiver and not just a blocker but also both. Just be a hybrid and help the offense, whether it is blocking or whether it is pass catching. “

* Linebacker Niko Lalos could be slotted into both “touchdown” and “takeaway” categories today. With the offense backed against the goal line, he batted down a pass and intercepted it in the end zone for a touchdown – all in one motion. Lalos, who was undrafted out of Dartmouth in 2020, has two takeaways (one interception and one fumble recovery) in just six career games.

* The connection between Jones and Sills is evident on the field. Among a handful of completions today was a perfectly thrown ball that was dropped in between two defenders to Sills.

* Cornerback Adoree ‘Jackson was close to another pick-six today but couldn’t quite hold onto it. There was nothing but green grass he had pulled it in, which he did during a practice last week.

* Cornerback Zyon Gilbert made two noteworthy plays, the first showing good coverage to force an incompletion in the end zone. He later broke up a deep pass during a two-minute situation, which fellow corner Maurice Canady later ended with his own pass breakup.

* Wide receiver Alex Bachman hauled in a handful of passes from Davis Webb.
