Tiger Woods capped off a successful, yet painful week at the Genesis Invitational with a final round of 68. After missing the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open two weeks ago, Woods came back with a vengeance at the Riviera Country Club. He opened with a 2-under 69, followed by a 2-under 70, and finished with a 4-under 68. His total score of 7-under par was good enough for a tie for ninth place.<\/p>\n
Woods\u2019 return to competitive golf was a bit of a roller coaster. He had some great shots mixed in with some not-so-great shots, but he managed to stay focused and grind it out for the entire week. He was also in some pain due to a back injury, but he was able to push through it and finish the tournament.<\/p>\n
Woods was pleased with his performance, saying, \u201cI\u2019m very pleased with the way I played this week. I was able to stay consistent and grind out some good scores.\u201d He also noted that he was able to stay in the moment and not get too far ahead of himself.<\/p>\n
